Healthy Options for Kansas Communities Medical Clinic
HOP Medical Clinic

After several years of hosting training rotations for Public Health and Physician Assistant students at Wichita State University, in late 2007 we expanded to include a small medical clinic. We currently offer primary care and preventive services four days a week and one Saturday a month. Our providers include a family physician, family nurse practitioner, physician assistant, and medical assistants. Most are bilingual. Each month, a volunteer gynecologist provides specialty care for women. HOP is one of few clinics on the southeast side of town that serve Medicaid patients and the uninsured. About half of our patients come from nearby neighborhoods, with the rest residing throughout Sedgwick and surrounding counties. We participate in the Vaccines for Children, Farm Workers, Prescription Assistance, Project Access, Asthma Care, and Childhood Obesity programs and partner with other local clinics to assure continuity of care.
