In July 2006, we opened a culturally sensitive dental clinic with four well equipped operatories and a small dental laboratory. Our dental team of dentists, dental hygienists, and dental assistants provide high quality primary, preventive and emergent care for persons of all ages. Services include root canals, crowns, and dentures. Sedation and higher risk treatment is available on a limited basis through a partnership with a local oral surgeon. For the convenience of our patients, we offer daytime, evening, and weekend hours and coordinate after-hour care with other area clinics.

Patient satisfaction and community need have led to a rapid increase in service demand. We anticipate a doubling in 2009 of the 2,000 patient visits provided the previous year. About half of our patients are uninsured. The support of external funders and volunteers helps us to offer affordable care to those who would otherwise go without. We accept Medicaid, HealthWave, and most private insurances. Self-pay patients are charged on a deeply discounted sliding-fee scale, determined by household income.
